Gouda cheese is a semi-hard cheese that is made from pasteurized cow's milk.
The cheese is left to ripen for varying lengths of time. Young Gouda typically ages six weeks and very-old Gouda ages up to two years.
In addition to a full-fat cheese (48+), Gouda is also available with a lower fat content, such as 20+ and 30+ cheese. Gouda cheese has a creamy and full flavour.
Next to naturally-ripened Gouda cheese, we also produce Gouda foil-ripened cheese 48+ and DOP Gouda Holland. “Gouda Holland” is a protected geographical indication status that was awarded by the European Commission.
